Tilchikkis is a flat and brittle desert are made by combining til, gud, peanuts and sesame seeds. Maharashtra is famous for its tilgudladoos in this season. the Assamese make TilPitha out of the combination to celebrate Magh Bihu. In Bengal and other parts of the eastern belt where Makar Sankranti is marked as Poush Sankranti, patishapta &#8212; traditionally rice flour crepes stuffed with a coconut and jaggery mix is a must have.
