  • Besan Chilla

  • 2 cups gram flour (besan)
  • One onion, finely slashed
  • One tomato, finely slashed

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking
  • Water as required

Method:

In a huge bowl, combine as one gram flour, onions, tomatoes, coriander, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, grated veggies and salt with water to make a thick batter. Make sure that there are no lumps in the mixture. Warm the oil in a nonstick pan, and liberally spread the mixed batter on it to moderate cook the Besan Chilla.
